Can KS lesion change color?

Hi Dr. Feinberg. Thanks for your quick responses to questions-you're the fastest on this forum! Can a KS lesion appear to vary in color from day to day or even within the same day? Can it react to heat by changing in color,especially after being exposed to hot water? Also, when pressed, is it possible to actually see the blood briefly move out of the lesion and then quickly return to the area? I've read about blanching and don't know if this is blanching or another phenomenon. Thanks again for your time.

Response from Dr. Feinberg
KS lesions do not change color from day to day or within the same day. Treated lesions or those that respond to combination HIV meds may fade gradually and come to look like tattoos.
