| IS IT CONCLUSIVE Nov 25, 2001 I have taken several Hepatitis tests due to elevated Alt most recently 77 but as high as 106 in last 2.5 weeks. At 11.5 weeks after an exposure I did a quantitative DNA PCR for Hep C and at 12 weeks I did a qualitative DNA PCR for Hep C both undetectable. I also did the Hep C antibody test which was negative. My GI doctor has also done ultrasound, endoscopy, CAT scan which showed no abnormality. I also was negative on a Hep B core antigen and Hep B antibody at 11.5 weeks after possible exposure. Do the 2 PCR tests rule out Hep C? Any suggestions please advise. |
