| 9 months and counting Nov 14, 2001 dear doctor, i have reached the 9 month all clear mark, from an occupational needle stick. but i cant seem to get a straight anwser from anyone, about continued testing. do i need to be tested annually for hiv and hcv? no one seems to know. allso since the pep treatment, i feel awful, no enery,cant sleep, stomach disturbance, wt. loss/gain, night sweats on and off, blurred vision. any ideas. i am better than i was on treatment, but not the same. and yes i am recieving counseling. i appreciate your response. sincerely, lost in the world of hiv and hcv |

Sounds like post traumatic stress to me. Would not be a bad idea to check yearly HIV and HCV. Doubt that it would show anything, but you remain in the business, so it helps to know in case you ever have another needlestick. DTD | |||||||||
