Response from Dr. Rodriguez-Torres
Jaundice means the yellow discoloration caused by the bilirubin pigment in the skin or mucosas. To have clinical jaundice, you need increased bilirubin levels, usually more than 3.0iu.Acute hepatitis, is defined as acute inflamatory process of the liver, and is associated with high hepatic enzymes. In chronic hepatitis C ,almost 25% of all cases have normal enzymes,in the rest the tests fluctuate on time. | |||||||||
