recently confirmed exposure to HVC.no detectable virus load Aug 26, 2001 Great. Told I'm exposed, but nothing is detectable. What the heck does this mean? Had an ultrasound and told to wait on biopsy for now. Advice? Thanks |

 You had exposure to the HCV ,and the positive test, is measuring the antibody produced by your body fighting it.This test will remain positive.It is a memory of this infection.The PCR is done to see if you could eliminate or not the virus.You are negative,this means you cleared the virus.You are one of only 20% of all infected cases, that clear the virus,.Now you have immunity to that particular type of HCV but not to all.You need to have safe sex and other practices, because you may not be lucky again if you are re infected with another type. | ||||||||
