| Hepatitis A B C Aug 3, 2001 Dear Dr If I may troule you with my question......... I tested negative at 3 4 5 6 7 8 months for hiv. I had a negative Hepatitis C and have vaccine against B. Should I be concerned that A might be causing a delayed reaction in formation of antibody? Why didn't the dr tell me about A when I got the blood work to rule out C? will this oversight impact all me hiv Elisa negative tests? |

Response from Dr. Dieterich
Don't know why your MD did not tell you. Often test panels don't include hepatitis A antibodies. If you do not have antibodies to hepatitis A then you should be vaccinated for that too, it only takes 2 shots six months apart. DTD | |||||||||
