|treatments for nonresponder to interferon combo therapy
Jun 15, 2000
I have just come off of interferon/rebetron therapy. my dose was raised to five million units a day, but my hcv viral load did not shift. what other treatment options are in the pipeline and when are they likely to be available
Response from Dr. Dieterich
Pegylated interferons have been submitted to the FDA and should be available in the next year, from both Schering and Roche. In combination with ribavirin they are very promising. For HIV infected people, there are trials beginning soon, depending are where you are located. Good Luck! DTD
