 Yes. Hepatitis B is really a closet retrovirus and many nucleoside and nucleotide analogues have activity against them. 3TC is approved for the treatment of hepatitis B. Other drugs that have some activity are abacavir, famciclovir, ganciclovir and experimentally adefovir. The treatments for hepatitis B are evolving rapidly and there are lots of new drugs on the horizon. It is very promising! DTD | ||||||||
