Response from Dr. Taylor

Sometimes blood clots are related to cancer. Inteferon may not have been the cause. However I understand and respect that this difficult treatment had to be stopped. I am sorry to hear you went though such a difficult time with your health.

There is good news. There are new medications available and becoming available shortly. These are called DAAs, direct acting antiviral agents. They may be used without interferon. Talk with your doctor about the best options for you.
