Aug 18, 2013
If someone had hep b in the past but is non infectious with a low blood count goes for a hep b test, and someone who had the hep b vaccine also goes for a bllood test would the results of the tests show the same results if the doctor has no history on the patient.?
Response from Dr. Taylor
Hepatitis B test results are NOT the same when we compare a perons who had hep B in the past with someone who had the hep B vaccine but was never exposed. Yes we can tell the difference per the blood tests even without history.
told positive hep c, but negative a & b
