Oct 20, 2012

i am suffering from fever i go through various tests on 20/10/2012 and in urine test billirubin level is 4.0, urine color-dark yellow, and in blood test sgot 1300 , sgpt 1835 is this posible of level of sgot and sgpt 1300 and 1835 where normal are of sgot 43 and sgpt 56?

Response from Dr. Taylor

Yes it is possible to have elevated levels of SGOT to 1300 and SGPT to 1835. I am glad that you are being evaluated today, because there are a number of different processes that can cause these elevations in liver injury tests, for someone having a fever, including infections and medications. It is important that your doctor work with you to find out the reason for these results.
