what does it mean by Anti-HBe positive? Jun 1, 2012 Dear Dr, I was just wondering what does HbeAg -ve and Anti-HBe positive mean to me? My report shows this. LFT and liver ultrasound are normal since I diagonised in 2006. Thank you so much for great help, |

 Patients with chronic hepatitis B infection are either HBe antigen positive (HBeAg+) or HBe antigen negative (HBeAg-). If you have lost eAg and gained eAb, it will hopefully mean that your viral load is low or even undetectable. You need to check a HBV DNA test to see for sure. If this is the case, then your infection is kind of "asleep" right now...Not active...quiet. That would be great news. | ||||||||
