Can I take tab & injection all together?
May 19, 2012

I'm 25. My report is ALT,serum by Enzymatic method 75.0; HBsAg, serum by CMIA Positive(2880.87); HBeAg Hepatits B Envelope Antigen, serum by CMIA Reactive(29.111); BVB DNA Quantification COBAS TagMan 5159656 copies/ml; Dr suggested that I would better take injection along with tab entecavir o.5 mg.Please make sure what I should do.

Response from Dr. McGovern

If this is your first test, you will want to follow this for 6 months to see if you clear on your own. If not, I would be inclined to use either:

Pegylated interferon monotherapy Entecavir monotherapy Tenofovir monotherapy

Since your viral load is relatively low, I think you could do well with PEG, although there are significant side effects. HOwever, if you do respond to PEG there is a good chance of HBeAg seroconversion (which is highly desirable).

Elisa Hepatites C Test Cut off value & patiet value
