| Baby came into contact Past-Drug User Apr 22, 2012 We were visiting a family friend, named "John", who used to be a heroine drug user and has shared that he has Hepatitis C. I tried to be careful in keeping baby at a distance but unexpectedly, my 8 month old son leaned close to John and stuck his fingers first in John's eyes, then in John's nose. He may have scratched the inside of John's nose. I wiped his hands with wipies right afterwards. My son has not had the Hep-B vaccine yet. It is scheduled in two months. Should I be concerned about possible contraction of some form of Hepatitis? Please respond- I am worried sick! |

Response from Dr. McGovern
I would not be worried because there would not be any blood to blood transmission. | |||||||||
