Feb 6, 2012
What if AN individual had been positive or reactive HBsAG in previous test. tHEN after several months a repeat test via the eclia test showed HBsAg non reactive, anti HBsAg weakly reactive what does this means? tnx
Response from Dr. McGovern
this could mean the beginning of seroconversion...Loss of Hepatitis B surface antigen and gain of surface antibody. That would mean you are in the process of clearing your infection.
You will need further blood testing to confirm.
Wish you the best.
