| reactive 34.40 for hep C is this acute or chronic???? Oct 2, 2011 my husband has a positive result for Hep C... having trouble understanding the results it says reactive 34.40 test was hcv ab s/co serpl eia (H) 34.40....please explain |

The antibody result suggests that you husband may have hepatitis C infection. If he is not at risk, it could be a false positive test. I would get a HCV RNA test now to see if there is any virus in his blood. This would confirm these antibody test results. | |||||||||
