 He can consider treatment for HCV to get clearance, which would be a good idea any way for his liver health. The treatments are very successful now, even for genotype 1 infection which used to be hard to treat. There are excellent drugs called HCV protease inhibitors like telaprevir and boceprevir which increase the rates of clearance. You should have a one-time time for HCV yourself. Sexual transmission is uncommon, but can occur. | ||||||||
