HCV transmittion Sep 18, 2011 I was walking my dog and my neabour (that is HIV and HCV positive and also has bleeding gums) was walking in front of me and spit on the sidewalk. I didnt see and my dog walked right in it. Later that day I was playing with my dog totaly forgot at the moment about him steeping in it, and his paws hit my crotch area and also a fresh cut. Is there enough blood in the spit(none visable)to transmit HCV? I know this is not a risk for HIV because it was at least 2 hours after he stepped in it that his paw hit my fresh cut and it wouldnt live that long. Would you get tested if it was you? I am very worried. Thanks in advance, Brad. |
