Possible Hep Contamination Jul 3, 2011 Hello Dr. I recently went to the dentist for a check up. The xray person would put the film in my mouth and touch the machine. She continued to do this. The machine did not have any type of plastic covering on it, neither did the overhead light. Can I catch something from this? I don't think they cleaned very often. |

 No I would not expect you to get HCV in this way. Blood to blood exposure is required. | ||||||||
