Heb B question

Jan 12, 2011

I recently got my lab results back, and I was wondering what they basically meant. My doctor claims my bod results are normal and im healthy, but I notice something was odd. Results: HEP B SURF AG: negative HEP B SURF AB: positive with a Flag H HEP B CORE AB: nonreactive HEB C Ab: nonreactive HIV AB: nonreactive

thank you

Response from Dr. McGovern

If your entire HBV panel is negative except for a reactive surface antibody, that would indicate past immunization and thus protection against HBV infection.

Next round of Tx
