Today I was at a discount crafts/housewares store with my husband and two small children. The cashier finished ringing in the lady ahead of us and I noticed she was holding some tissues in her left hand. I thought it strange but didn't say anything. She was using her right hand to do most of the ringing in and bagging. Then she handed my husband a pen to sign his receipt with her tissued hand. I then realized she must have cut herself at some point shorty before waiting on us. I have no idea how badly she was bleeding, as I didn't examine if blood was coming though the tissue. I actually went back in the store 5-10 minutes later and saw that she was fiddling with a band-aid on her finger (tissues were gone). I am unnerved by this. My husband has hangnail cuts, etc. and could she have gotten blood on him without him knowing it? Or on our items/bags? Should I treat this as an exposure? He didn't sanitize his hands until we were at the car - so he had pushed our toddler's carriage, opened the car etc. all without washing his hands. What do you think?

I would not recommend testing.
