It sounds like your father has a low level of HCV virus in his blood. This does not tell you anything about the possibility of disease though. His AFP is slightly elevated. This can occur in advanced liver disease. He will need further evaluation of his liver and he also needs an ultrasound for imaging. | |||||||||
