| nedle prick Sep 29, 2010 i was pricked by a needle of hep c patient, had first aid drooped some blood from infected area immidiateely and washed hands with dettol. patient has his test reports 6 months before and those were clear but after that he dint go for any test regarding hep c.please tell me what to do i am very much worried. |

First you need to go to employee health and report the incident and get tested for HCV antibody. Then you will need further testing over the next several weeks to see if they is any evidence of infection. Most likely you will not be infected; however, it you do get infected, early treatment leads to cure in about 85% of cases of acute HCV. | |||||||||
