Hello, As I've read dried blood is contagious especially for Hepatitis C and can stay outside the body up to 4 days.My question is-is it really that contagious? I mean if you touch dried blood with your clothes and after that you touch the clothes with an open wound on the same place...can you become infected? Sorry if my question is stupid...but some sites say that even invisible tiny traces of blood can spread the virus. Greetings and thanks in advance

Your question is not stupid. You are legitimately concerned because of some research experiments show that the virus can live for a certain amount of time in the environment. However, that does not mean that the virus is well transmitted this way from the environment to a person.
The vast majority of patients with HCV infection have well-defined significant risk factors, such as injection drug use or a history of traumatic sex or sex in the context of other genital ulcers, which break down skin barriers.
