| Contact with chronic Hepatitis (PCR 9900 v/ml) Jun 20, 2010 Im really concerned. Four days ago I had contaminated my hand with virginal fluids of chronic Hepatitis B woman (PCR recent count 9900 v/ml). My question, is there a big chance I get Hepatitis B? I do not see cuts in my hand, and actually I washed my hand severely, including using bleach, but washing was after 1 hr. What should I do in this case? Thanks a lot. |

Response from Dr. McGovern
You are not at risk in light of your exposure. Hepatitis B vaccine is recommended for anyone who has a sex partner with chronic hepatitis. I would recommend that you discuss this with your doctor. | |||||||||
