i had may hepatitis profile and the results are
anti hbs= non reactive/0.0, cut off=10.0 anti hcv= non reactive/ 0.29 cut off=1.00 HBsAg=reactive/198.34, cut off=2.00 anti hbcigG=reactive/0.047, cut off=1.00 anti hbc igM= non reactive/0.09 anti HBe= non reactive/ 1.705 hbeag=reactive/ 32.92 hepa A anti body IgM= non reactive/0.63 SGPT=30 normal value=,31 IU/L
what does this mean? do i have an acute or a chronic hepatitis? thakns for reply

If this is the first time you have been tested, you should have your surface antigen rechecked in six months. If still positive, then you do have chronic HBV infection.. You have a normal ALT which is reassuring that hopefully you don't have liver disease. You should also have follow up of your ALT as well. To know if you have virus in your blood, you need a HBV DNA test.
