Can you get acute hepatitis after 6 months if you have consistent leg pain for two months after 7 months, and if so what the worse genotype and is it gotten from merely touching either dried blood or wiped blood. Thanks, have kids, superconcerned

Most patients who acquired acute infection with HCV have serologic conversion (a positive antibody) within 12 weeks.
The most difficult to treat is genotype 1; however, about 55% of patients clear infection when treated. That number will certainly increase with the new HCV drugs in the pipeline.
HCV transmission requires blood to blood contact...so just touching dried blood would not be a risk.
