Liver Test Result
Sep 8, 2009

Dear Dr. McGovern,

I'm Hep B positive - HBEAG negative infection. Pls. interpret my result:

Total Protein - 81 (reference range 66-88) Albumin - 54 (reference range 35-52) Globulin - 27 (reference range 20-35) A/G = 2.0:1 (reference range 1.5 - 3.5:1)

Control:12.3 seconds Patient's Value:12.8 seconds INR: 1.03 %ACTIVITY: 95.3%

I have achieved negative HBV-DNA since November, still undergoing Baraclude Treatment. Is my liver test normal? Is liver biopsy necessary based from this test?

Thank you and God Bless

Response from Dr. McGovern

If your provider has already decided on treatment I wouldn't necessarily proceed with a biopsy at this point. This decision may have been made due to the amount of virus in your blood and your liver tests.

The most important issue is that you have achieved a negative viral load test. Keep up the good work!! Everything else will fall into place.

anti hcv reactive
hepatitus A AB
