 When a Hepatitis B surface antigen in reactive, you need to obtain a full panel of testing to see if you have acute or chronic infection. Even if you have chronic infection, you may have active or inactive disease. Your doctor will need to do further testing to determine this - such as HBcore antibody, HBeAg, HBeAb, HBVDNA, and liver function tests. In the meantime, do not have unprotected sex with any current sexual partners. | ||||||||
