| waiting your answer Jul 15, 2009 Hi doctor Im 24 years male and hepatitis b patient from past 7 years but till now I not had any treatment and im living normal life Last month I tested my blood its Hbsag-positive, Hbeag-negative and LFT normal range (all) should I need any treatment and can I get marry and if I had sex without condom any possibility is their for HIV infection , can I get baby without HBV infection and could you please confirm which type of hepatitis. Do you think he is in the acute stage? |

It sounds like you have chronic hepatitis B infection with normal liver function tests which will need to be followed to determine if they remain this way. Would also check a HBV DNA test to see if the infection is active or inactive. Immunization for your partners would be indicated so hepatitis B is not transmitted to your partner or the future mother of your child. | |||||||||
