| Urgent Advice Jun 12, 2009 Hi doctor im 24 years male and im hep b patient from past 8 years but till now I not had any problem and I living normal life I have tested my LFT last month its a normal range and hbeag-Negative I have some doubts pls answer 1 can you please confirm what kind of hepatitis I suffering 2 I planning to my marriage should my wife need any vaccine 3 should I get baby 4 should I have a sex without condom 4 should I need any more blood tests. Please advice |

If you are HBsAg reactive, then you have chronic Hepatitis B E antigen negative infection. If you get married, your wife to be should be vaccinated in advance. You can certainly have a baby and as long as your wife is not infected, there should be no major issues. I would not have sex without a condom until you know that the vaccine worked well in your wife to be. This can be checked with a simple blood test. | |||||||||
