medication in case of low viremia May 29, 2009 Hi there I have hepatitis B with constant good values of ALT and a very low viremia (246 UI/ml). My therapist said that I should start taking BARACLUDE. What are you thinking about that? What are the risks? Hepatics markers are: ANTI-HBE= 0.01 ANTI-HBE_I= REACTIVE HBEAG = 0.289 HBEAG_I=NONREACTIVE HBSAG=60.31 HBSAG_I=REACTIVE ACHBS = 2.46 ACHBS_I = NONREACTIVE Thank you! |

 I would be interested in whether you have normal liver function tests. If so, then I would not pursue treatment at this time. If significantly abnormal and there is concern about advanced liver disease (by biopsy or exam) then I would consider treatment. | ||||||||
