I have written many times, please help
Apr 13, 2009

Hi,

My last exposure was 13 months ago, I am a woman and i had vaginal sex with not protection. My Elisa tests were negative at 10 and 13 months mark, I also took hepatitis ABC tests negatives too. But I am a person taht drink a lot of alcohol at weekends, drinking alcohol may delay the seroconversion more than 13 months? Do i Need more tests?

thanks a lot

Response from Dr. McGovern

No you don't need more testing. However, I am concerned about your alcohol intake. This is very harmful to the liver, to your heart, and to your brain. You should discuss openly with your physician to figure out how he or she can help you. Binge drinking on the weekends is very rough on the liver.
