I INFECTED MY BOYFRIEND WITH HEP B! Feb 14, 2009 Hi. Doc. I was diagnosed last year, June 2008 with hepatitis. My boyfriend tested negative then. But since He doesn't want the vaccine then, we continued having unprotected sex. Now. After 9 months, he tested reactive!!!! His count showed 2.92 when the reference value is below 1.0 How can i deal with this. I feel really guilty. Do you think he is in the acute stage? What tests should he be checked for? I am giving him red ginseng for a month by the way... Please i really need your answer. |

 He needs a complete hepatitis B serologic profile. He will need to go back to his doctor to determine his status - I cannot tell from this information. The vaccine is very effective and he should obtain it if his testing does not prove recent infection. | ||||||||
