cocaine and hiv
Jan 11, 2009

my predicament is that im worried i may have caught hep or HIV.

I have used cocaine 3 times in all my life, always when im drunk. All 3 times I did not share a snorting instrument im a bit of clean freak anyway so i used my own.

Though on Friday I sniffed off a corner of a credit card straight from my nose, that perhaps someone else has too. Also even though i used my own snorting instrument there was cocaine spread across the tabe that 2 others were snorting off. Im not a regualr user but they are. Also one of them had a cut on there hand. Before i sniffed the coke (i know sounds bad ill never do again) i didnt see any blood it was just white powder

Sorry I know I sounds paranoid and i will never do it again.

Response from Dr. McGovern

I doubt that you have contracted any virus from this exposure.

There is a lot of data suggesting that alcohol use "disinhibits" people and they do more reckless behaviors than normal. I would carefully think about this as well.
