blood doant i find HBV
Jan 4, 2009

in blood donation case i find that i have hepatitis virus my HBeAg test said that non reactive patient valve(0.080) cut of value(0.220) My (hbV pcr by dna quantative test) said that HBV DNA Not Detected it said that the viral load is very low less then 1000 equivalent copies/ml i need any treat ment or not

Response from Dr. McGovern

It sounds like you have been diagnosed with hepatitis B but your DNA levels are low so this could be consistent with clearance from recent acute infection or could be consistent with chronic inactive disease. Only serial testing will be able to sort out the two. Would recommend additional testing in 3 to 6 months.

can u have recourring hepititus
