| finger pricked by HCV patient needle Dec 21, 2008 Hi, Six days before my wife was helping her mother who is HCV patient in insulin injection. after successful deployment, she wanted to dispose it but the injection fell out of her hand and straight on one of her foot finger. A very very negligible amount of blood came out. She has gone through HCV tests, the tests are negative... please suggest what should we do... should we go for some further tests? or we should straight away ignore this and forget about it...thanks |

Response from Dr. McGovern
If HCV testing is negative out for 6 months then there is no further need for further follow-up. | |||||||||
