pregnant with hiv Oct 19, 2008 hi i had done the test hiv and hep c some years and hiv come neg and hep c positive. This year i got pregnant and at 8 month thei found hiv poz and hep c neg. Can be a mistake and hiv to come poz but to be neg? PLEASE HELP ME!!! |

 I would get a RIBA test - which is a specific test for hepatitis C to make certain your test is not a false positive. I wonder if you have had a rapid HIV test, which can lead to a false positive test. If so, your test needs to be confirmed with a standard antibody test. I would also get a HIV RNA and CD4 counts. You should be seen by an HIV specialist for expert advice. | ||||||||
