Sep 14, 2008

i got a needle prick on finger. needle was used by a hepatitis c patient 3 months back. so when i got prick it was not contaminated visibly with blood. what r chances of hep c transmission in this way

Response from Dr. McGovern

If you are a health care worker, I would get tested just for your own protection. I always recommend employee health evaluations for any concerns whatsoever.

However, I do not consider this a significant risk.
