Response from Dr. McGovern
You do have chronic infection by your laboratories. You will need to be under the care of a hepatologist who will monitor your blood tests serially over time and will also get an ultrasound of your liver. He or she will help advise at to when you may need to obtain a liver biopsy. No treatment would be recommended immediately - these decisions occur over time and with further evaluation. | |||||||||
