| ma'am pls help me out Apr 6, 2008 as per ur advice i underwent liver biopsy results- Vascular relationships preserved.Portal areas expanded with a moderate lymphoplasmacytic infiltrate. Plasma cells are plenty and are seen spilling into the adjecent liver plates, and interface hepititis is marked. their is ballooning degeneration of hepatocytes , as well as focal macrovesicular steatosis in this biopsy. appropriate sized bile ducts are seen within the portal triads. Apoptotic bodies , ground glass hepatocytes and intralobular inflammation is present. Connective tissue stains demonstrate mild potal fibosis. Iron deposits are not demonstrated by Perls stain. PAS stain is non contributory. OPINION- Severe chronic hepatitisB (KI score-3+3+1+1=8/22) ma'am in which stage i am first, second, or third stage of liver damage. will i survive long or ???????????????? i am worried i love my family a lot, don't want to leave this wonderfull life this soon. how much years of life can i expect in this present condition of mine? will i be cured ever? |

There are excellent treatments for hepatitis B. You will need to discuss the options with your physician but don't despair - you will do very well with close monitoring of your liver by ultrasound every six months and close checking of your HBV DNA level while on treatment. | |||||||||
