|Blood on Cup?
Mar 21, 2008
Thank you for reading.
I was recently at a nearby store, and was going to get coffee. My hands are very chapped because I need to wash them alot at my job.
Anyway, I went to grab a cup, and when I did it felt alittle sticky. I looked down and saw some little brown spots, which I blew off as coffee drops. But then I saw a dark RED spot. With so many people coming in there, I am kind of worried about someone possibly have coming in there, such as a construction worker who maybe had a cut on their hand and got some blood on there. I guess it could have been something from a food they may have gotten there. But I doubt they woulda gotten red food on there at that part of the store. And the dark red just really looked like blood.
The fact I grabbed this with my chapped hands, amd I at risk for Hepatitis B or C? I drove right home and washed my hands immediately. Should I seek testing? Thank you!

This does not sound like a significant risk to me. I would not advise testing.
