Marrige And Hepatitus c Jan 3, 2008 dear doc hi .i face a problem and require ur kind help i want to marry a person who had suffers from hepatitus c 1 year back but now his tests are normal .whats precausion should i take pefore maaring him and is it safe to marry him or it require further test before i go to marry him .what further evaluation i need. plz help me in this regard |

 I would have your fiance have hepatitis C virus testing to see if there is virus in his blood, which would suggest chronic infection. Some people clear the virus on their own and just have antibody. If there is virus in his blood, the risk of sexual transmission is only about 1 to 2 percent. Condoms reduce this to zero. If there is no virus, then he has already cleared his infection and is no risk to you. | ||||||||
