| Lap-Band Consideration Sep 16, 2007 I have HIV (great health status - no meds needed at this point) and HEP C (good health there as well) and am considering getting the Lap-Band surgery. Would I be unqualified or anything due to HIV or HEP C status? Would there be any complications specific to me for these issues? I am overweight (280 lbs/5'10 tall) and this seems like a great alternative! |

It is certainly important to address your weight. Hepatitis C and fatty liver are a bad combination in terms of liver fibrosis (scarring) progression. Losing weight would certainly be of benefit. | |||||||||
