Risk in this profession would be determined by whether there was any risk of a needlestick. I would suspect that this risk would be very low. After a needlestick exposure, the risk of hepatitis C is greater than HIV. This has been demonstrated in studies of healthcare workers exposed to patients with either infection. | |||||||||
