| what is hepatitis a-1 stage 3 Sep 9, 2007 My brother recently informed our family that he has Hepatitis A-1, stage 3. What is he telling us? Is it terminal or curable? I have been serching for answers but have not really had the one main question I have will he or can he die from this disease? Please help ease the questions by responding to this question. Or please direct me to where I might find the answers we are seeking. Thank you. |

Hepatitis A does NOT cause chronic disease. I suspect that he has either hepatitis B or C and is reporting the stage of disease to you. Stage 3 indicates significant fibrosis - but not cirrhosis. Treatment will depend on the virus he has... | |||||||||
