| hep C through oral sex Jul 25, 2007 Hi. I had an accident at work, pricked myself with a knife that was used on a hep c positive patient. There was no visible blood on the knife but I'm going for the routine check up's from occupational health. My question is, if I got hep c from this incident what sould be the risk of it spreading through oral sex (I'm a female) to my partner? No menstrual blood involved or real big visible sores / cuts on me. I'm now terrified that I might have given it to him, with actual intercourse we have used a condom. ..had one failure but as hep c doesnt spread so easily in sex I'm not so concerned of that. |

Response from Dr. McGovern
The risk sounds near zero. I would not give this any more thought. | |||||||||
