The only treatment right now if Pegylated interferon and ribavirin. Side effects include fevers, chills, muscle aches (early on), depression, difficulty sleeping, fatigue, loss of appetite, nausea, diarrhea and other side effects. This should be discussed with your physician. However, many people have fatigue as their major symptom. Other symptoms can be alleviated with other medications (eg, an anti-nausea drug for nausea). | |||||||||
