| Risk of spread to Partner May 19, 2007 After giving blood I have recently found out that I have chronic Hep B with a very low virus count. Now though I am extremely worried about past sexual partners, I have always practised safe penetrative sex but not orally, including ejaculating into womens mouths. How much of a risk to others is this? |

Response from Dr. McGovern
It is very very low risk. Particularly if you have a low virus count. However, I would see a doctor regarding these results, because usually blood banks report only serologic testing in donors - which can reveal false positive results. I would get full HBV testing with your own physician. | |||||||||
