HEPA B IS CURABLE? WHAT THE NAME OF MEDICATION? HOW?
| Response from Dr. McGovern
Hepatitis B is treated with either entecavir, telbivudine, adefovir, interferon, lamivudine, or emtricitabine. We usually use the words "viral suppression" or "seroconversion" to assess the effectiveness of the treatments and not the word "cure" since the virus is integrated into the host liver cells.
